KMHS MEETS NEXTREX RECYCLE CHALLENGE!!! Gray Sikorski was motivated by the NexTrex challenge to turn unwanted plastic bags, wraps, shipping materials, and water bottles into something of value for our school! KMECO took on the goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of plastic in bins throughout the high school. Their intent was to meet this challenge by the end of this school year, but that goal has been met well ahead of schedule. NexTrex will be providing our school with a bench, made from the recycled materials, in honor of KMECO's mission to keep plastic waste out of landfills and create something functional in the process.

Only 7 music ensembles across the State of Wisconsin were invited to participate in this prestigious event.
“Music education offers far more than just the opportunity to play an instrument or sing in a choir,” said Kettle Moraine Middle School Orchestra Teacher, Shelly Weber. “It helps students develop creativity, confidence, resilience, and collaboration skills that are essential in their academic and personal success. This performance is a celebration of the power of music to develop our students’ creativity, artistry, teamwork, and work ethic. The experience of performing in the Capitol Rotunda, an iconic and unique backdrop for the students’ impressive performance, is likely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students.” As Music in Our Schools Month continues, the Kettle Moraine School District proudly joins schools and communities across Wisconsin in celebrating the vital role of music and arts education. A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE ON THE COURT!!! TMJ4 recently attended a KM girls basketball game to do a story on the 'Original Buck' and proud grandpa, Jon McGlocklin, as he attended his granddaughters' basketball game. McGlocklin was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks' inaugural 1968-69 team. He takes just as much pleasure in watching Keegan, a senior, and her younger sister Quinn, a freshman, excel on the court. The girls will have only one year playing together on the same high school team, but they have been pushing one another their entire lives. This is a wonderful special interest story about an accomplished sports family.
