GRADUATION WILL BE AT VOCK FIELD TONIGHT!!! A little rain won't stop us! All indications tell us that any inclement will clear by 4:00pm. Graduation will begin at 7:30pm at Vock Field. Our facilities team will be drying everything off, but you are welcome to bring seat covers, towels, or blankets as needed. We look forward to seeing you all there as we celebrate the Class of 2024!

GETTING READY FOR GRADUATION!!! This week was the last week for our class of 2024 and it has been a busy one! Today, students enjoyed a quick breakfast, picked up their caps and gowns, participated in commencement rehearsal, grabbed their yearbooks, then many visited their elementary schools and caught up with former teachers! Tomorrow, June 1st, we will be holding our first graduation ceremony at Vock Field, followed by a fireworks display at 8:30. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate this wonderful class of seniors. You will be missed!

KMEF SCHOLARSHIP AWARD NIGHT!!! The Kettle Moraine Education Foundation held their annual scholarship awards last night. KMEF awarded 103 scholarships totaling $91,250, to 80 students. mission is to inspire students and educators by raising the support of our community and business partners to create educational opportunities that build academic and personal success. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible.

KM WALK OF CHAMPIONS!!! Congratulations to all of our athletes who have qualified for State! Our mens golf team will be competing June 3-4 at the State Tournament at Blackwolf Run in Kohler. Boys and girls track athletes will be competing this weekend in the State Track and Field Championships at UW Lacrosse. Stay tuned for a Capturing KM tomorrow featuring interviews with some of our coaches and athletes.

THANKS TO THE FANS!!! A few of our students sent off their favorite track stars with a bit of fanfare and some homemade signs as they head to the State Championship. We are so proud of the way our student community supports one another. GO KM!!!!

All-Conference Selections for Girls Softball! Thanks for a great season Ladies! Kettle Moraine Lasers couldn't keep up with Milton Redhawks and fell 9-2 on Wednesday. Naomi Sander took the loss for Kettle Moraine Varsity Lasers. The starting pitcher went six innings, surrendering nine runs (five earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking three. Katie Brisk led the Lasers with two hits including a double and an RBI. Alesandra Hernandez, Naomi Sander, and Reagan Ostram all had hits for the Lasers. The Lasers finished the season 15-10 playing a difficult schedule against some of the toughest teams in the state including Chippewa Falls, Watertown, Waterford, Muskego, Arrowhead, and Milton. Great season Ladies!

THANKS TO WALMART!! Our local Walmart donated 2000 bottles of water for graduates at our commencement ceremony Saturday. We appreciate your partnership!!

This year, our KMHS Campus Hospitality Parents provided the following to the KMHS Campus staff: An endless supply for the beverage station 5 meals (back to school, conferences, staff appreciation, year-end staff picnic) 45 gift baskets/items for Valentine's Staff Appreciation Goodies and treats to celebrate throughout the year Popcorn day Grilled cheese & tomato soup day ...supportive calls, emails, and in-person chats that helped teachers, administrators, and support staff get through a day/week/month… In addition to cards, here are some emails from our staff for thank you! “Thank you Parent Hospitality team! You took such good care of us with yummy meals, festive decor, and smiles every time. The thought to detail was clear. Boys Golf is State Bound! Led by senior Spencer Stuke, the Boys Golf Team posted their lowest score of the year and claimed the top spot in their sectional to advance to the state tournament at Black Wolf Run, June 3-4, 2024! The sectional tournament included 8 teams with 40 golfers at Wanaki GC. KM outshot tournament host Brookfield Central (who claimed the other spot for state) by 7 strokes. Individually, Spencer shot a 71– tying for second overall— clinching his 4th WIAA State Boys Golf Tournament appearance! Add in robust scores from— senior Jonathan Dreist, sophomore Nicholas Kacsur, senior Graham Hoffe, and sophomore Caiden Jurci—and you’ve got your 2024 State Bound Kettle Moraine Boys Golf Team! Congrats on sectionals and best of luck at state!

Senior Night Success! The Lasers defeated Waukesha North 4-2 last Thursday on Senior Night. Coach Wolbert played 11 seniors throughout the game (Miles Burchardt was unavailable due to injury). Starting pitcher Cade Buccholz shut down the Northstars in the first inning, allowing no runs and striking out two. JJ Wolbert led off with a walk, followed by singles by Jonah Roloff, Lincoln Ascher, and Scott Brown to give the Lasers a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Logan Gronewold, Will Johnson, and Dominic Fracaro pitched in the next four innings, holding the Northstars to only two runs combined. Wolbert singed in the third inning and scored by stealing home putting the Lasers up 4-1 into the fifth inning. The Northstars loaded the bases in the fifth but Fracaro got their three-hitter to hit into an inning-ending double play turned by Wolbert and Reed Burns, halting the Northstars scoring threat. Roloff finished Senior Night with a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate. Ascher finished with two hits. Brown, Johnson, and Wolbert finished with one hit each. Wolbert took the mound in the sixth inning and was dominant, striking out two and recording an 85 mph fastball on the stadium scoreboard! Lincoln Asher was electric on the mound in the seventh inning, earning the save. His cousin, Kaiden Ascher came in to catch! Stellar defense by Tyler Wille, Johnson, and Buccholz helped seal the victory. Thanks for a memorable night, seniors!

There were entries from 22 states and 16 different countries for the mission to make a machine that can PUT TOOTHPASTE ON A TOOTHBRUSH. KMMPA ENDS IT'S YEAR ON HIGH NOTE!!! KM Music Parents Association would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who attended music events this year and donated generously to support our outstanding KM music programs. We raised over $7,300 and awarded $6,500 in grants to music teachers. Those grants included new recording software, music education opportunities for teachers and transportation to music festivals where our students performed – just to name a few. We are also very excited about the upcoming transformation of the high school auditorium space that will support students throughout KM for future performances.
