SAVE THE DATE – CLASS OF 2026 GRADUATION MAY 30TH! Our KMHS Campus (Kettle Moraine High School, the High School of Health Sciences, KM Global, KM Perform, and KM Connect) will be celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 with a commencement ceremony on May 30th at 7:30pm on Vock Field at Culver's Stadium. Please make plans to join us as we celebrate these amazing young people, or watch the livestream at kmsd.edu/grad-livestream. There will be a fireworks display at 8:30 pm. We hope you enjoy the show and we apologize for any disturbance the noise may cause.

Scientific Sketching is a new HS^2 Fine Arts course this year! Students have sketched 2D and 3D objects, made infographics on insects, created fish postal stamps, and much more!

Getting ready for the final pieces of their AP Performance Tasks, the HS^2 AP Seminar class spent time giving each other feedback!

The Forensic Science class did another blood lab where they looked at blood splatter at different velocities!

The HS^2 Forensic Science class has moved into their blood unit! The start of all sorts of super fun blood labs has begun!

Back when we had a nice weather break, the HS^2 Biology students went outside to draw body systems out of chalk!

REGISTER FOR SUMMER ACADEMY NOW!!! Course registration opens at 8am on Monday March 16th. Students will be able to choose four courses per day (with the exception of Moving on to Kindergarten). To accommodate more families and staffing demands we will again run two separate sessions lasting six weeks total. Session one will run June 15-July 24 (no classes 7/3). Students can attend the full six weeks or one session only if preferred. Session two classes will be a repeat of content and activities from session one, unless noted in the course description. We encourage new students interested in "trying" KM and meeting friends to sign up for Summer Academy. Courses are available to open enrollment students for a fee. KMSD Alert: Due to a National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning, impacting travel, all Kettle Moraine Schools will be closed tomorrow, March 16th. The timing of this event, coupled with icy conditions, are making transportation hazardous. After-school and evening activities will also be canceled. Watch the text and email for building-specific instructions.

The ACT test is being administered to all junior students on the KMHS campus (and across the state) today on March 10th.

Please be aware, all freshmen, sophomores, and seniors are NOT attending school on campus today. Instead, today is an asynchronous virtual day of learning for those students (grades 9, 10, and 12).
Please carefully review the email sent to all parents/guardians that detailed specific expectations for today!

Every month, the High School of Health Sciences recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership, community, character, academic rigor and grit.

The HS^2 February students recognized are Taylor S. (11) and Mak O. (12)! Congratulations to these students!!

HS^2 Chemistry teacher Mr. Van Dyke performed some cool demonstrations for students last week using liquid nitrogen! He froze bananas, rubber balls, set it on fire, and more!

PERFORM ALUMNI MAKING BROADWAY DEBUT!!! Thatcher Jacob, Class of 2025, will make his Broadway debut as Walter Henderson in Stranger Things: The First Shadow! Thatcher had many wonderful accomplishments while at KM, including participating in the National Next Narrative Monologue Contest at the Apollo Theater. We can't wait to see him thrive on Broadway!

KM SHOWCASE/4K FAIR HIGHLIGHTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNERS OF ALL AGES!!! About 150 families signed up to attend the KM Showcase and 4K Fair. The 4K-12 event brought families together from throughout the region for an evening centered on exploration, connection, and opportunity. With attendance surpassing previous years, the event provided a welcoming environment for those considering educational options for their children. Guests met directly with teachers, administrators, and students while touring our high school and learning about academic programs, extracurricular activities, and support services. One family described the experience as “So beyond what we expected when we signed up. We were able to register both of our children and sign them up for a bunch of clubs and sports teams. The tour was amazing.… We are blown away.” Others discovered options they hadn’t previously considered. A homeschool parent shared, “I did not realize our daughter could be taking advantage of partial attendance or even virtual enrollment. This opens up so many options for us as a family and also for her socially.” For families just beginning their school journey, the event offered reassurance and excitement. One 4K parent said they were “grateful for the child care area and enjoyed meeting teachers and learning about the different 4K programs.” They enrolled in our Forest 4K program and left feeling confident about the year ahead knowing that wrap care and transportation would be available. Hands-on STEM displays, vibrant arts programs, and conversations with students helped bring learning to life. One parent whose son had just applied to KM Global was excited to learn he can schedule courses in all of our high schools. Their son “is very interested in business and marketing, but is also creative and was interested in some of the offerings through Perform. That flexibility will allow him to pursue both and makes our choice much easier." As the evening concluded, families left not only with information, but with a sense of belonging. We wish to extend a special thank you to Culver’s for providing boxed meals; our early childhood team for facilitating the child care area; and to the many staff, students, and community members whose dedication made the showcase such a meaningful success.

For a recent Advisory Competition, each HS^2 advisory created a Valentine's Day box to exchange Valentine's between peers. Afterwards, the student representatives voted on the top three boxes!

Forensic Science decided to get into the Valentine's Day spirit last week by studying and analyzing some lip prints in class!

The KM Explore Navigators have been studying snow this winter! As a part of their work, the students came over to the HS^2 to get a closer look at snowflakes through microscopes! Our HS^2 students helped the Navigator students create their own slides, and helped with the microscope use.

Last week, the HS^2 Physics students practiced the content from their current unit on Torque in order to balance a system and calculate the mass of an unknown object.
