HS^2 Winter Community Day!

Today is the day! Today our students are engaging in some organized chaos as they participate in various community events both inside and outside of the school building for our winter Community Day! We are excited for all of the opportunities that have been made available for our students, and we're very grateful for everyone that has helped make this day run successfully!

Every month, the High School of Health Sciences recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership, community, character, academic rigor and grit. The HS^2 November students recognized are Emma S. (10) and Sophie S. (10)! Congratulations to these students!!

Today, December 11, is an asynchronous virtual day for all HS^2 classes. Students will have a required assignment in each class posted in Canvas. Completion of this assignment determines attendance for each block. All work must be submitted by 2:35pm. Please reach out to teachers directly with questions regarding assignments and expectations.
KMHS is holding regular classes today; however, the schedule is adjusted due to an extended advisory. If you have a KMHS class on Wednesday, you still need to attend. Please look on Canvas for the adjusted schedule and plan accordingly.

Attention holiday shoppers! HS^2 is hosting a book fair on 12/6-12/7 at the Barnes & Noble in Brookfield. All you need to do is shop in store or online, and HS^2 will receive a portion of the profits to spend on choice books for the English classroom bookshelves.
Simply present this bar code before checking out or enter the code on the payment page online during those two days. Vouchers will also be available in store. Be sure to check out their selection of books, music, Lego, board games, journals, and more to knock out that shopping list while helping out our HS^2 students!

Sophomore Lily R. may have a future as an investigator! She and the other English I/II students are busy making predictions and connecting clues in the detective novel unit.

HS^2 collected over 1300 lbs of donated items for the Waukesha County Food Pantry!
While Mr. Van Dyke's advisory took home the top spot for donating the most items, it was a school-wide success in seeing so many students and staff participating in the drive. The HS^2 walking class even took a different route one day to walk to Pick-N-Save to purchase items for donation.
If you would still like to donate for the holiday season, you can drop donations directly off at 1301 Sentry Drive!
