Audition Times Set For 'South Pacific'

‘South Pacific’ Chosen As Kettle Moraine High School Campus Musical Theatre’s First All-Campus Musical

WALES, WI - Students from all four Kettle Moraine High Schools, as well as KM Middle School, are invited to audition for “South Pacific,” the renowned  masterpiece featuring  an award-winning score by the incomparable team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II (“The Sound of Music,” “The King and I,” “Oklahoma!,” and “Cinderella”). “South Pacific” is the only Broadway musical to win Tony Awards in all four acting categories. Based on James A. Michener’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “South Pacific” continues to enthrall audiences, including the 2008 Broadway production, which won the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival.

“South Pacific” takes place on a beautiful Southern Pacific island during WWII, where the characters find themselves swept away by the scenery as romance shapes a hilarious, heartbreaking, and inspirational story. An American Navy lieutenant and nurse each fall in love as the dark cloud of war threatens to overtake their island paradise. The music is delightful, the story compelling, the setting transformative. Welcome to “South Pacific!”
