KM Transitions To Virtual Learning
March 13, 2020
Dear KM Parents and Guardians,
Due to many factors and considerations including the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus, Kettle Moraine School District has decided - along with our fellow Waukesha County School Districts - to shift to virtual learning starting March 17.
NO CLASSES MARCH 16 - ALL BUILDINGS WILL BE CLOSED.
We realize this decision creates challenges for all and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work through these unprecedented times. KM believes the safety of our students, staff, families and visitors is always the top priority and this decision supports a local, regional and global effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Many factors influenced this decision:
- State of Emergency issued by Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow
- State of Emergency issued by State of Wisconsin
- CDC and Waukesha County Health Department Guidelines
- Multiple states across the U.S. now closing all public schools
- Multiple closures by universities in our area, throughout Wisconsin and the country
- Multiple local, state and national organizations adopting aggressive social distancing policies
