KMMO Downs De Pere to win Barry M Fieber Championship
The Kettle Moraine/Mukwonago/Oconomowoc boys hockey team won the Barry M Fieber Championship game on Saturday, November 29th as they downed visiting De Pere at the Naga-Waukee Ice Arena, 5-2. The Lasers trailed 2-1 after the first period and dominated the rest of the game, never allowing another goal thanks to contributions from several teammates. Hunter Santos had a big game for KMMO, scoring twice and adding one assist. Adam Manske, Zach Romsos and Brady Driscoll had one goal each. Jacob Cartland and Matthew Matsa had one assist each. Tyler Arnold played two periods in the goal and shut out De Pere. Gunnar Johannsen played one period and allowed one score. KMMO out-shot DePere by a 33-12 margin. Great team win! Hunter Santos was named MVP for the tournament delivering 6 goals and two assists for the weekend.
