Four candidates are running for three available seats on the Kettle Moraine School Board this spring. Incumbents Heather Renno, Jim Romanowski and Kathy Kapsy, along with challenger Liz Sparks, will vie for a spot on the board in the April 6 election. Each seat carries a three-year term.
The KMHS Student Senate is hosting a candidates' community forum Wednesday, March 24 - 6:30-8:00 p.m. via Zoom.
The forum will be completely virtual.
Board members have received and will answer the following questions:
What would you say is the Kettle Moraine School District’s greatest strength, as well as its greatest opportunity for improvement?
Does Kettle Moraine sufficiently prepare students for post-high school education and/or the workforce? How can Kettle Moraine better prepare students for post-high school education or work?
What is your plan to attract and retain high quality teachers to Kettle Moraine schools
How well do you believe Kettle Moraine has responded to the pandemic? What have been our strengths and weaknesses in dealing with hybrid learning over the past year?
What qualities do you have that set you apart from other candidates?
A KMHS member of Student Senate will be read the questions aloud to the candidates. There will also be a portion in which community members can type questions in the chat that will be asked to the candidates.
