    HOW DO STUDENTS LEARN?
     
    Seminars: Students sign up for interdisciplinary seminars throughout the year.  Seminars focus on investigating a topic of interest in a collaborative manner. During seminars, students will participate in small and large group activities, community engagement, leadership development, discussions and field experiences.
     
    Inquiry: An inquiry is a research project where students are able to explore a variety of content areas in order to demonstrate high levels of critical-thinking and application. Projects are chosen based on a combination of student interests and credit goals, and students are supported through this process by an individual learning coach.
     
    Field Experienes: Students experience unique learning opportunities via job shadows, interviews, field trips, internships, and guest speakers. Students learn firsthand how to communicate and interact with industry professionals and an array of communities and cultures, extending their experience far beyond the traditional classroom.
     
    Learning Coaches: Learning coaches are teachers who help guide student learning. Each student is assigned a learning coach who assists in project development, providing individual student support, and monitoring student goals and progress.
     
    Learning Environement: Students work in a flexible environment that provides access to individual, small group, and large meeting spaces. Small group teams allow for purposeful interaction and discussion between students and teachers. Technology is used to support student learning and access to resources.
     
    Community Service: Students engage in service within the community as well as complete a service project.
     
    Courses: Content is delivered using a variety of methods including direct instruction, collaborative groups, discussion and various technology tools. Technology tools support individualized pacing. This structure helps students to adapt to a variety of delivery methods used in college and the workplace.
