Welcome from Mr. Otto
I am honored to serve as principal of Wales Elementary and being part of an innovative learning community that prides itself on personalized learning, and the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. This is an exciting time in education and I am privileged to be part of the Wales team!
I have worked in education since 1990 and have been with the Kettle Moraine School District since 2010 first serving as the PK-12 Talent Development Coordinator and currently Wales Elementary principal. I bring experience as an elementary teacher, summer school coordinator and principal. I completed my undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Marian University.
My wife Sara and I have two children; Cameron and Madeline and we reside in East Troy. We love to go hiking, travel, boat, garden, watch movies and spend time outdoors with our dogs Willy and Toby. I also enjoy listening to music and watching sports. I am a proud Packer season ticket holder and an avid baseball fan. I have visited more than twenty professional baseball stadiums across the United States.
I know that a strong partnership between home and school is key to the success of our students. I appreciate the many volunteer hours, fundraisers, and activities parents have provided that have created a strong culture and many opportunities for our students at Wales. I look forward to building on this strong tradition and welcome your questions and comments along the way.
Yours in Education,
Wales Elementary Principal
