Kettle Moraine Explore Elementary is proud to be supported through fundraising efforts through parents, friends and governance council members. Because we are a community based school, we are continually working to make connections with experts, local businesses and organizations, and field experiences to enrich learning. Our goal is to have KM Explore students in the community multiple times per month. With this, of course, comes a financial responsibility in the form of costs for transportation, artists in residence, guest speakers, admission fees, etc. It is through the generous support of businesses and families that we are able to continue to provide these types of learning opportunities for our students.
Each year we have an annual community dinner hosted by our students. Our menu has ranged from spaghetti to tacos, and it is a special event in the hearts of our KM Explore students and families. Interested in helping out? Please contact Barb Shaver at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tieing in science, math and determination, our students have worked hard on an annual plant sale each year. Starting the plugs and plants in our greenhouse each spring, our plant sale usually runs the last week of May. Interested in donating seeds, soil, pots or time? Please contact Wanda Richardson at email@example.com.
