KETTLE MORAINE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS PROUD TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS ON STATE REPORT CARD
The Kettle Moraine School District is very proud to be exceeding expectations according to the 2019 District Report Cards issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
There are 10 schools in the Kettle Moraine School District. Our schools all significantly exceed, exceed or meet expectations on their individual DPI School Report Cards.
The report cards consider many data points, use several years of data and apply formulas to determine the rating. The measures include student achievement across four priority areas: English language arts and math, student growth, closing gaps between student groups, measures of readiness for graduation and post-secondary success. Cards also measure chronic absenteeism and dropout rates.
While we are extremely proud of our ratings, we ask residents to please use caution when using DPI report cards to compare different districts and schools. The way in which a district/school’s overall score is calculated is different for each school, therefore making it difficult to make comparisons between schools/districts on their overall scores. Comparisons can be made using the scores from the four priority areas, mentioned above, because the calculations are the same for all schools.
The report cards are just one measure of our success. We will use them, along with internal metrics developed around our graduate profile and several other data sources, as we strive for continuous improvement.
