KM is not alone in its need for operating support
KM is not alone. Operating Referendum is the "new normal" for school districts.
Across the state, revenue limits and the Wisconsin school funding formula have not provided adequate funding. Local school districts across the state have exercised the option of referenda as a means to sustain operations. In the past 26 years, the majority of school districts in Wisconsin have passed referenda to fund operations. Some of have passed multiple referenda.
