2014 Facilities Referendum
-
In 2014, KM voters approved a capital referendum that funded facility projects to address deferred capital maintenance (roofs, windows, doors, electrical, plumbing), safety and security, technology infrastructure and collaborative learning spaces. The referendum approved KM borrowing $49.6 million for facility projects only. That money wasn’t, and cannot be, used for operations.
Here are some videos to highlight what the 2014 Facilities & Technology referendum accomplished. We thank the community for its support!Note: The 2014 facilities referendum addressed the majority of capital improvements identified in the Long-Term Facility Master Plan. It did not address needs such as parking lots and outdoor facilities.
