Parenting the Love and Logic Way

  • Dates: Thursdays, April 20-May 25, 2017 Time: 6:30pm-8:00pm

    Location: Kettle Moraine High School Library

    Materials Needed: “Parenting the Love and Logic Way” Workbook (Will be provided)

    Facilitators: Alissa Darin & Kerry Neimon

    Course Description: The primary goal of the Love and Logic Program is to give parents and others working with children practical strategies for reducing behavior problems, increasing motivation and building Developmental Assets into youth, translating to life-long responsibility and resiliency. The techniques provide an alternative way of communicating with children that teaches prosocial behavior and ownership to problem-solve their life situations.

    This course is a level 1/2 vinyasa flow yoga class. Beginners are welcome to join us. Poses will be demonstrated with multiple options for either beginners or those who have some experience. Course will be lead by Mara Robichaud,RYT-200. She is a sports medicine physical therapist with over 20 years of experience who enjoys introducing people to yoga. * 5th grade students and upalong with parent are welcome. Mara teaches yoga in the school setting.

    Need that extra push to get started on an exercise program? Make it easy by joining the longest running aerobics class in the Lake Country area. For over 30 years we’ve been getting this community into shape and making friends at the same time. We’ve perfected our routines so they work for anyone of any age or fitness level. Work at your own pace with easy to follow steps set to a wide variety of the music you love. You’ll get just the right cardiovascular workout followed by floor work that will both tone and stretch all of your muscles. Come a few minutes early and join in our arm weight circle where we strengthen the upper body while catching up with one another. Grab your athletic shoes and floor mat, and make a commitment towards a healthier you! Equipment needed: personal mat for floor work. Minimum enrollment 12.

    Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art derived from Jujitsu, spear training, and sword work. Its focus on peaceful conflict resolution and harmony make it an ideal martial art for people of all ages. Practitioners of Aikido should be ready for classes of rolling, defensive techniques, and sword/staff training. Instructor Michael Weber Sensei (4th Degree Black Belt) has been studying Aikido since 1989, including three years in Shingu, Japan where he studied under 10th Degree Black Belt Michio Hikitsuchi Sensei.

Digital Courses


    This series of classes will introduce you to Google apps and other digital tools that are fun to use for communication, organization, and research. Choose one or all for these exciting evenings of technology.

    Learn how to set up and organize your Google Mail and Calendar apps. This session will show you the basic features of these Google Apps. Please come 15 minutes early if you do not have a Google account. –Wed., March 22, 2017

    Learn to do more than read and delete emails-- create groups, organize, and learn about Google labs. Then we’ll explore Google Calendar, learning how to make appointments, invite people to events, and stay organized. –Wed., March 29, 2017

    (Google’s Organizer and word processing tools)
    Google Drive is the App that allows the user to organize, and share your work in Google. Google Docs lets you create documents, and then let’s you take them further. Collaborate with others online, use templates, and research while writing. The power of docs will amaze you. –Wed. April 5, 2017

    (Google’s presentation tools)
    Google Slides lets you showcase your ideas while giving you the power of online collaboration. Drawing lets you create graphics and images that you can use in all of your digital ommunications. –Wed., April 19, 2017 FORMS AND SHEETS (visuals and data collection) Do you need to survey your family or associates? Forms are the perfect tool for gathering information. Sheets are digital spreadsheets--learn how these two tools can work together. –Wed., April 26, 2017

The Fireside Dinner Theatre

  • The Fireside Dinner Theatre is one of the Midwest’s most popular entertainment destinations and the only Actor’s Equity dinner theatre in Wisconsin.
